Unbreakable Spirit - Available on all streaming platforms
Written and composed for my dearest and sweetest friend, Tiwana, but I think we all can relate to this song.   The term 'Unbreakable Spirit' signifies to me the importance of clinging to our passions, advocating for righteousness, and resisting the influence of others to sway our convictions. Each of us is uniquely crafted, with no one else resembling us. We have been endowed by God with a distinct spirit that belongs solely to us.

Juke Joint Blues - Available on all streaming platforms
Juke joints were small spots, usually located in the rural parts of the American South, where African Americans came together for music, dancing, drinking, and socializing, especially after slavery was abolished. They acted as safe havens for fun and enjoyment, often away from the limitations of segregation and the watchful gaze of white society. These places offered an alternative to the few social options available in the segregated South. Hidden from public view, they nurtured a sense of freedom and community. Considering the vital role that juke joints had in the development and growth of blues music, it’s essential to acknowledge the origins and cultural significance of these venues instead of overlooking their importance. This aspect is a crucial part of our history. I want to express my appreciation for legendary figures like Tommy Johnson, Son House, Robert Johnson, and (Blind) Willie Johnson, whose musical styles are deeply rooted in gospel and spiritual themes, significantly influenced notable artists like Robert Johnson and Howlin' Wolf, who were inspired by his unique style. Willie Johnson's spiritual songs resonated with the emotional and communal aspects of the blues that thrived in those performance spaces, along with many others who shaped the essence of Blues and turned it into a lively cultural symbol.
Secrets Of The Night - Available on all streaming platforms
I have been to New Orleans several times over the years. A  distinctive music genre of  jazz (specifically Dixieland or New Orleans Jazz) but also, it's often fast-paced, sometimes with a vibrant two-beat rhythm, and draws on blues and popular standards of the day.  When I think of New Orleans, I express my thoughts and feelings for this city in the song "Secrets Of The Night".
